Sinn Fein has announced three candidates in Foyle for next year’s Assembly election.
Current MLA Ciara Ferguson is on the ticket and will be joined by councillors Christopher Jackson and Sandra Duffy.
Padraig Delargy announced in February that he will not be standing for re-election.
The party say they are aiming to elect three MLAs in Foyle for the first time. North Belfast MP John Finucane said it was “an ambitious but very achievable initiative”.
There are currently two Sinn Fein MLAs in Foyle, two from the Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP) and one from the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP).

No other parties have announced their candidate in Foyle as of yet.
