Lagan Valley MP Sorcha Eastwood has ruled herself out as the next deputy leader of the Alliance Party, saying her focus is on Lagan Valley and that it is a “special job which I love and is a privilege to do”.
The Alliance Party held their annual conference today at the Stormont Hotel, with party leader Naomi Long calling on NI Secretary Chris Heaton-Harris to take charge of Stormont reform.
Kate Nicholl was first elected to Belfast City Council in 2016 and was Lord Mayor of Belfast from 2021-2022. She was elected to the Assembly in 2022.
