Leader of Reform UK Nigel Farage has endorsed two Democratic Unionist Party candidates in the general election, despite his party having an electoral partnership with Traditional Unionist Voice.
Leader of Traditional Unionist Voice, Jim Allister, has today announced this his party will field candidates throughout Northern Ireland, with exceptions in some constituencies.
TUV leader Jim Allister and Reform UK leader Richard Tice today formed a partnership to contest the upcoming general election, signing a ‘memorandum of understanding’.
David Clarke was co-opted to a seat on Mid & East Antrim Borough Council by the DUP in October 2023, but has since quit the party after ‘internal spats’ and has now joined the TUV.
The TUV’s strategy for the upcoming General Election could see benefits for unionism, but they also issue a warning to the DUP if they plan on returning to power-sharing anytime soon.
The centenary stone could cost the public up to £14k.
