Sinn Féin will not contest four constituencies in the general election

Sinn Féin’s Conor Murphy has returned to the Northern Ireland Executive after taking a leave of absence on medical advice from his doctor. He returns to the Department for the Economy, taking over from Deirdre Hargey who stepped in temporarily.
First Minister Michelle O’Neill has announced that the Minister for the Economy Conor Murphy will stand down from his role in the Executive on medical grounds, with Deirdre Hargey to take over on an interim basis.
The East-West Council was formed in the agreement that brought the DUP back to power-sharing and aims to improve business and educational links across the United Kingdom.
