The DUP has announced that Aaron Elliot has been co-opted onto Fermanagh and Omagh District Council to replace Keith Elliot.
Keith Elliot is standing down from his role as a councillor after eleven years representing the Enniskillen DEA (District Electoral Area).
Speaking following his co-option, Aaron Elliott said: “It is a real honour to have the opportunity to serve the people of Enniskillen on the Council. Under the leadership of Deborah Erskine MLA, the DUP has a strong record of delivery in this area and I look forward to building on that work.
“I will bring energy and purpose to this role, standing up for local people and ensuring their voices are heard and delivering positive change in the community,” he added.
DUP Leader Gavin Robinson MP welcomed Aaron’s addition to the team: “I am delighted to welcome Aaron onto Fermanagh and Omagh Council.
“Having worked in the local DUP office for a number of years, he brings valuable experience and a deep knowledge of the issues that matter to people on the ground.
“The DUP is renewing with a young and talented team, and Aaron’s commitment and enthusiasm will be a great asset as we continue to deliver for people across Northern Ireland.”
