News Admin
Northern Ireland Elects is on the lookout for News Admins to join our team. All roles at NI Elects are voluntary and unpaid – we are a student-led organisation that earns no money. News Admins are responsible for monitoring our list of trusted news sources for NI politics news and providing real-time updates on our social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor a range of trusted news sources and mailing lists for relevant news.
- Publish posts on our social media platforms in a timely fashion to inform followers of news.
- Assist in the updating of website content, including articles and election results.
- Ensure you publish content that is accurate and in line with our guidelines.
- Support live coverage during major events.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A strong interest in Northern Ireland politics.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms that we operate on (X, Bluesky, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
- Basic knowledge of the WordPress CMS is a plus.
